Arrival in Windhoek
Arrive in Windhoek and settle into The Weinberg overlooking the city.

Land in Windhoek and be whisked to The Weinberg, your hillside hideaway. Freshen up, then choose between a garden sundowner, a spa visit, or a gentle stroll to cafes and boutiques before drifting off to your first Namibian night.
Windhoek to Etosha National Park
Travel north into Etosha's vast savannas and settle in near the park gates.

A shuttle transfer to Etosha is organised for your convenience. Follow the open highway north as thornveld gives way to Etosha's sweeping plains. After check-in at Etosha Safari Lodge, join a gentle guided walk to learn the tracks, scents, and sounds of the bush-perfect scene-setting before your first starry dinner. Etosha National Park revolves around a 4,800 km² salt pan visible from space; its mopane savannas shelter elephants, lions, endangered black rhinos, and Namibia's endemic black-faced impala.
- Guided Walk - Enjoy the discovery walk through the mopane woods and learn about the indigenous plants, birds, and other wildlife. Refreshments included
Full Day Safari in Etosha
Unhurried full-day safari chasing Etosha's wildlife from sunrise to dusk.

A sunrise roll into Etosha sets the tone: dust plumes, silhouettes of springbok, and the shimmering salt pan on the horizon. Move between famous waterholes spotting elephants, lions, and elegant oryx; pause for bush snacks and tales from your guide before a golden-hour return to the lodge. Waterholes fringing the pan pull in huge herds along with over 340 recorded bird species—from kori bustards on the plains to flamingos in wet years—and dusk often offers a glimpse of critically endangered black rhinos.
- Full Day Etosha - Explore the National Park and its amazing wildlife in a 9-seater game vehicle. Refreshments, snacks, and passenger liability insurance are included. Park fees are excluded and can be settled directly at the lodge.
Etosha to Damaraland
Wind through changing scenery into the rugged red ridges of Damaraland.
.webp)
Leave the grasslands for Damaraland's copper cliffs and mopane valleys, carved from Jurassic dolerite sills and ancient sandstones. Arrive at Damara Mopane Lodge, hidden among garden plots and a cool pool; stretch out with a gentle sundowner walk to watch the sky blaze over the escarpment and keep an eye out for desert-adapted elephants moving along the ephemeral riverbeds.
- Afternoon walk (~ 1.5 h)
Damaraland: Rock Art & Desert Elephants
Trace ancient rock art and seek desert elephants across wild Damaraland.

Spend the day weaving through ochre valleys: decipher Twyfelfontein's UNESCO-listed engravings—over 2,500 petroglyphs carved by hunter-gatherers thousands of years ago—wander among the Organ Pipes, a corridor of dolerite columns formed around 120 million years ago, and follow dry riverbeds where desert-adapted elephants roam. A Damara cultural village visit adds language, music, and craft traditions to the story between picnic pauses.
- Full Day Elephant Explorer - Join a full-day guided Damaraland experience. Tracking desert adapted elephants, complemented with other potential (dependent on time) points of interest including Twyfelfontein's ancient rock engravings to the Petrified Forest, Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes, and an authentic Damara cultural village experience. Coffee/Tea and snacks for teatime, refreshments, a light lunch and entrance fees are included.
Damaraland to Swakopmund
Descend from red rocks to the cool, misty Atlantic coast.

Enjoy a slow morning among the lodge gardens before the road unwinds toward the ocean. Watch the landscape soften into fog banks driven by the cold Benguela Current as you reach Swakopmund—German-colonial facades, sea breeze, and The Delight perfectly placed for sunset beach walks, seafood cafes, and fog-fed lichens that line the nearby dunes.
- Birding Morning - Join our guide for an exciting tour through the gardens to spot the local birdlife.
Marine Wildlife & Swakopmund
Glide along the coast for marine life, then savor Swakopmund at your pace.

Board a catamaran into the calm Atlantic: pelicans swoop, dolphins surf the bow, seals laze on sandbars, and dunes glow in the distance. Walvis Bay lagoon is a Ramsar-listed wetland that often hosts flamingos and pelicans, while the cold Benguela upwelling supports Cape fur seals and the endemic Heaviside's dolphin. The afternoon is yours—wander the promenade, sip coffee, or add adrenaline with quad biking or a scenic desert flight.
- Morning Cruise - Get ready for a morning like no other - breathe in the crisp sea air as you come face-to-face with a spectacular variety of birds and marine mammals. All the while, enjoying delicious food and refreshing beverages on land, making this ocean adventure the perfect blend of wild encounters and coastal indulgence!
- Afternoon free: coastal walks, cafes, dunes, optional quad biking or scenic flight
Swakopmund to Sesriem / Namib Desert
Epic desert drive toward the fossilized dunes of the Namib.
.webp)
Cross gravel plains and sweeping passes as the horizon turns crimson. The Namib is one of the world's oldest deserts (at least 55 million years), its fossilized Tsondab dunes and active red ridges shaped by relentless Atlantic winds. Arrive beneath these ancient dunes at Namib Desert Lodge—cool off at the pool, wander sunset trails, or join a night walk under a sky painted with the Milky Way.
- Afternoon trails around the lodge
- Optional Desert Night Walk
Sossusvlei & Deadvlei
Sunrise over Sossusvlei's dunes and the surreal clay pan of Deadvlei.
.webp)
Set off before dawn for Sossusvlei with your lodge guide, as the dunes ignite in apricot light. These star dunes—some rising over 300 m like Big Daddy—are built from Orange River sands blown inland over millions of years. Wander Deadvlei's bone-white pan where long-dead camelthorn trees (preserved for centuries by arid air) stand in stark relief, and-time permitting-descend into Sesriem Canyon, a 30 m-deep gorge carved by the Tsauchab River. Keep watch for oryx and springbok that survive here on fog moisture and drought-tolerant plants before brunch in the shade.
- Sossusvlei Excursion - Guided half-day excursion to Sossusvlei, incl. entrance fees to the National Park, brunch, and refreshments.
Namib Dune Drive & Return to Windhoek
Savor one more dune sunrise before rolling back to Windhoek.

A final dawn drive through the Namib's sculpted dunes—where fog from the Benguela Current feeds beetles, geckos, and hardy grasses—often reveals fresh oryx and jackal tracks over coffee and rusks. Then turn toward Windhoek, watching desert reds fade into highland greens before a restful last night at The Weinberg.
- Morning Dune Drive - Discover the fossilized dunes, the red dunes above the plateau, and the many other wonders of the Namib Desert on this drive around Gondwana Namib Park. Refreshments (tea/coffee) and a light snack (rusks) are included.
Departure from Windhoek
Transfer to the airport for onward travel.

Leisurely breakfast, then a smooth transfer to the airport for your onward flight. End of services with pockets full of desert light.
